Fatima Sana Shaikh Desires To Step Into Alia Bhatt And Kangana Ranaut's Shoes - EXCLUSIVE
Ever since Fatima did her first film Dangal opposite Aamir Khan she has always managed to push the envelope. The actress has never shied away from experimenting with her characters. From playing a wrestler in her first film; an archer in Thugs Of Hindustan; to playing a simple Maharashtrian girl in Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari and now proudly playing a very strong bold character in Ajeeb Dasstaans. Her choices in films have made her a versatile actor. However, when asked if it's a conscious decision to do different genres, characters, and roles every time to which she says, "No, it's not! I do films that come my way and if I feel a connection with the film. My choices also reflect on the person that I am. Having said that, it's not like I have too many opportunities coming my way. I'm making most of it with what is available around me."

Though the actress has excellent filmography, she speaks about the films that she would have loved to be part of. " I would have loved to do a Gangubai Kathiawadi or a Queen, but again scripts like that should come to me, while there are not, I am doing what's best for me," she states.

It's been five years since Dangal released speaking about her journey she says, "I wish I would have done more work, coz the more you work the better you get. But I am very happy and grateful for the opportunities that I have gotten, met some incredible people through my work. "

Adding further she says, "When I did Dangal I learned about wrestling, their situations, and difficulties. In Thugs, I learned archery and some other stunts. Ludo I had an amazing time with dada (Anurag Basu) who is just amazing and even learned about Raj's (Kumar Rao) journey. In Ajeeb Dastaan working with Jaideep Alawat and Shashank Khaitan was incredible. And during Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari director Amit Sharma and Manoj Bajpai became a family. They were there during my difficult times. So it has been a great journey."

Fatima Sana Shaikh has quite an interesting line-up of films, she will be next seen with Anil Kapoor in a Netflix film, she is also part of the remake of the hit Tamil film Aruvi, for which she has yet to shoot.
